Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies

Has it really been almost a month since my last post? Yikes. Time flies when you’re having fun. I’ve been having a lot of fun and most of it was in the form of birthdays… and I LOVE BIRTHDAYS!

Brian celebrated his birthday on April 10. Birthdays are a great excuse to bake. Not only did Brian get a cake(post coming soon), he got cookies, too. I had run across a recipe for Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies a while back and was just waiting for a occassion to make them. They looked obscene and ridiculous. They were either going to be great or total overkill. They are both. Just make sure you are stocked up on milk.

Start by making up a batch of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough and preheat your oven to 350F. Pull out a pack of double stuff Oreos. Take about a tablespoon of the chocolate chip cookie dough and put it on the top of the Oreo then take a tablespoon and put it on the bottom. Form the dough around the Oreo so that it covered in the dough. (This picture actually shows a smaller version of the cookie because the regular are so intense that I made some with mini Oreos, too).

At this point, after trying to do this on a few cookies and getting very messy hands, I refrigerated the dough for about 20 minutes and it was much easier to work with this way. Once you have formed your monster stuffed cookies, place them on a baking sheet and bake for 11-13 minutes.

Let cool for 5 minutes and serve to your boyfriend to make him very happy.

Don’t forget the milk.
