Tangy kale chips

I’ve blogged about my love of kale chips before. On my current detox kale chips are on the approved snack list. Encouragement to eat one of my favorite snacks? Ok, twist my arm.

I noticed in their recipe that they added 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and sesame seeds to theirs. I was skeptical of adding lemon juice, but it’s a great variation that makes them taste like salt and vinegar chips. So tasty!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch kale, stems removed and torn into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • sesame seeds
  • salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350F.

Toss kale pieces with olive oil, lemon juice and salt and pepper. Spread pieces on a baking sheet.Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until crisp but not burnt.
