A few highlights from the month of August:
Brian and I ran the Elvis 5K at the beginning of August. While neither of us are where we want to be with our running yet, our times had improved from the previous 5K.
After the 5K, we showered and got ready to met Aaron who was in town for some meetings. The meeting of Aaron and Brian turned into a draw-off. A Justin Bieber draw-off to be exact.
Here’s Aaron’s award winnng drawing. I think he really nailed it with the hair.
Later into the night, Aaron and I had a dance-off. Let’s just say that I didn’t win.
The next morning, I woke up and went to Iowa for many restful and relaxing days. Except for the big storm with power outage. If you look closely, you can see my mom’s profile in the candle light.
When the storm slowed down my mom and I went out to “supervise” my uncle and cousin hooking up the generators to the turkey barns:
This apple tree didn’t do too well in the storm. Also, the corn field in the background is proof I was in Iowa.
I saw this very interesting vending machine at one of the gas stations that we stopped at. I only wish I would have bought some vending machine bait.
Any everyone knows that a trip home is NOT complete without some Panch!
Back in the city, Brian and I headed to one of his friend’s weddings. Brian begged me to let him hold my clutch.
