Spaghetti squash and meatballs

Do you feel like this is a collision of my spaghetti squash and my meatball sub post? Well, it is.

If you took my advice and bought the bag of pre-made turkey meatballs, you probably have some left over. Unless you want to eat a meatball sub everyday for the next week, you might need other ideas on how to use them up.

Preheat your oven to 450F. But spaghetti squash in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Place 1/2 tablespoon butter and some salt and pepper  in each half of the spaghetti squash. Place face up in a large casserole dish. Fill the bottom of the casserole dish with 1/2 cup water. Cover the whole dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for about 50 minutes or until squash tender and strings easily.

While your squash is baking, cook the meatballs in sauce according to the directions on the package.

When both are done, combine to have a very healthy version of spaghetti and meatballs! Top with parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
