When we had a streak of warm days at the beginning of March, I got garden fever. I wanted to plant everything.

And I did, well, almost everything.

Here is some basil and micro greens.

Then I went a little crazy and planted peas, kale, a few types of tomato, fennel, beets, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe, acorn squash, butternut squash, and maybe a few other things.

And here is the start of some delicious salad that I can’t wait to eat this summer.

Now let’s just hope I get that community garden plot I applied for. Otherwise I am going to need a lot more pots!

What are you growing in your garden this year?

  1. I’ve got some broccoli, cauliflower, and kohlrabi seedling that are big enough to transplant. I started my tomatoes, too, and a few peppers, but they aren’t ready to go out. The melons will have to wait until the beginning of May, because we just had frost last night, so we’ll just have to be patient. Hope you get that garden plot!
